Setting a cronjob up on debian?

Ive looked on the net and most of them just say to do this,
*/5 * * * * /home/linuxrestart.sh But it doesnt work for me, I get
the error, root@keogan:~# */5 * * * * /home/linuxrestart.sh -bash:
*/5: No such file or directory Ive even tried just plain 5 * * * *
/home/linuxrestart.sh
